I was very nervous about going for surgery due to some weird complications with my case, Mr Farheed and all the surgical team were amazing at keeping me as calm as possible. I felt genuinely cared about by everyone and very confident that they would make me well again. I couldn't have been happier with my care. I felt like I had all the information I needed before going for surgery.

I was admitted to Derby Royal hospital at the end of June, I had to 3 units of blood overnight and was seen by Mr Fareed the following morning who told me I needed an emergency operation to save my bowel, Mr Fareed performed the surgery the same day from which I have now fully recovered. Throughout the whole experience Mr Fareed and his team were very kind and caring and towards both myself and my daughter and made me feel very well informed about the treatment and recovery. Mr Fareed was very professional and is a very talented surgeon and I cannot express my gratitude and thanks to him for saving both my bowel and my life. I can only say that Derby Royal are very lucky to have him Again many thanks for the treatment I received

I was rushed from another hospital to The Royal Derby under Mr Fareed's care and his bariatric team. Straight away he put me at ease.. He listened to my concerns and my care under him was first class. A very skilled surgeon that dealt with my complicated operation. I have every faith in Mr. Fareed and would not hesitate to recommend him to any patient reading this review. I have since had a follow up appointment and have been reassured that everything is in order and that I am recovering as expected.

I was referred to Mr Fareed in early 2017 after ultra sound and ct scan picked up gall stones in my gall bladder. Unfortunately, despite having on going discomfort, I could not be treated during 2017 due to other health issues. Mr Fareed kept on seeing me throughout this time and had an appointment at the end of April 2018. Mr Fareed queried my holiday arrangements and it was decided he would try and offer me an appointment for surgery as soon as possible. This operation was planned for 7 June, key hole surgery done, and discharged the following morning. Throughout the whole experience I and my husband have found Mr Fareed to be very professional, friendly and informative. Couldn't have had anyone better to take me through this process.

I saw Mr Fareed as an emergency admission - and I am so greateful to him for the fantastic level of care he has provided. He diagnosed the very serious situation straight away, explained everything to me in terms I could understand, then carried out the necessary operation immediately. Without his swift intervention I would have lost my bowel. The level of follow up care and advice I have received has been outstanding, and he has a very warm, friendly and caring manner. I could not have received any better care - and consider myself extremely fortunate to have him as my surgeon and to have achieved such a good outcome following my surgery.
